Get your skins and self-rescue gear ready: the mountains of Alta Valtellina are calling you to adventure. 

From Valfurva to Val di Rezzalo, from Cima San Colombano to the peaks of Valdidentro, you can go ski mountaineering here until April. From simple itineraries near the ski slopes to long ascents of challenging peaks like Gran Zebrù. And you can always hire Alpine Guides to accompany you. Some routes lead to mountain huts: stop for a taste of our pizzoccheri.

Immerse yourself in nature and enjoy the silence of the snow-covered forests on Nordic ski trails. Even in summer, you can ski on the Stelvio Glacier. Choose from 45 km of trails. And if you're an experienced cross-country skier, you can also try the Valtellina trail, home to international competitions and World Cup events.

Hike the snow-covered trails of Stelvio National Park and breathe in the tranquility of the snow-covered forests in the depths of winter. Snowshoeing in Bormio is one of the most rejuvenating outdoor experiences you can have. You can opt for a nighttime snowshoe hike or a daytime excursion, independently or with the Bormio Alpine Guides. Along the trails, you'll find refuges: oases of refreshment where you can enjoy a delicious plate of pizzoccheri or Valtellina sciatt.

Here in Alta Valtellina, you can hike even in winter. You can choose from various itineraries with crampons or snowshoes. 

Among the winter excursions available in Bormio, you can opt for quiet and picturesque valleys like Val di Rezzalo. If you prefer, you can also contact the Bormio Alpine Guides: every week they organize group walks within the Stelvio National Park. To melt away your tiredness at the end of the day, relax at the Bormio spa.

At Cima Piazzi - San Colombano there is the Orsacchiotti World educational area, in Santa Caterina Valfurva the Mirtilla Land snow playground awaits you, finally in Bormio you have two choices: Trudy Park in the village and Playwood in Bormio 2000.

Have you tried cycling in the snow yet?

Experience the winter season in Bormio on two wheels: it's possible with fat bikes. 

Ride the legendary slopes of the Gavia Valley and the Forni Valley, take a safari tour in the Stelvio National Park to see wildlife, or enjoy a more relaxed experience in the enchanting Val Viola. You can choose between day or night tours and opt for a classic fat bike or an electric version.

Experience dog sledding with Husky Village 

In Valdidentro, in Arnoga, a snow adventure with Nordic charm awaits you.

Experience the sense of freedom and well-being that comes from being in touch with nature while sledding. At the Italian sled dog center Husky Village, you can choose whether to sit back and be accompanied, or learn all the commands and become a musher (sled driver) for the day.

At the Husky Village, you'll find a dog sled ready to take you through the snow-covered woods of Stelvio National Park.

Ice skating in Bormio

With us you can live this experience 9 months a year.

The Bormio ice rink is open from July to March. Here you can rent skates and hit the ice rink, which has hosted major international short track competitions. In Santa Caterina Valfurva and Valdidentro, you can experience the thrill of outdoor skating on a natural ice rink.

And what about curling? The Bormio ice rink has a covered curling rink: one of the few in Italy's Alpine resorts.

If you're looking to try something new, there's one option worth considering: paragliding in Bormio. Have you ever tried a tandem flight with an instructor?
